                     THE BOARDS & COMMISSIONS ARE THE GOVERNING BODIES

                                                             OF THE TOWNSHIP.

The Board of Supervisors are elected by Township residents & act as the main legislative body in that jurisdiction.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:all aspects of the township budget, writing/enforcement of laws & ordinances, hiring/firing of Township personnel, appointments of individuals to various boards & commissions & the levying of taxes.  The Board of Supervisors are the ultimate overseers of all aspects of the operation of the Township.

The Planning Commission is involved in both the current & long-range planning for development issues within the township.

The Zoning Hearing Board hears appeals & makes rulings regarding challenged zoning issues.

ADMINISTRATION HANDLES THE DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONS OF THE TOWNSHIP.

The Township Secretary/Treasuer is a paid position and is the primary liaison between
the members of all of the township's Boards & Commissions & the township residents.  The position reports to the Board of Supervisors.

The Zoning Officer is appointed by the Board of Supervisors.  The Zoning Officer issues building permits and ensures that all construction adheres to the Township's zoning ordinance.  

The Tax Collector is responsible for obtaining all taxes due to the township.

The Auditors oversee all aspects of the finances for the Township.  They are responsible for making sure that your tax dollars are fully accounted for & spent according to state regulations & laws.  

The Township Constable handles civil & private law enforcement duties along with other official services.  Constable's are required to be certified by the state & undergo continuous education.
